It’s taken 9 years and┬ábillions and billions of miles (okay, about 3 billion) for ┬áNASA’s New Horizons spacecraft to reach Pluto, which was considered the ninth planet in the solar system until Neil deGrasse Tyson and his ilk knocked it out of millions’ of schoolkids’ painted foam displays and said it was only a planetoid.

If you look closely, you can see some sort of pattern on the face of Pluto, which has many scientists speculating what it could be, including some sort of message made by extraterrestrial life.

NASA officials would only say this regarding the purported message:

“Its origin and purpose are still a total mystery.”
